Best seafood restaurants in Lansing for Lent

Lent is ongoing until April 17th. Lent is a 40-day prayer season for certain denominations where people do not eat certain foods for 40 days. It begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at sunset on Maundy Thursday. It is a way of celebrating the resurrection of the Lord at Easter. Many of us don’t eat meat on Fridays during Lent. This is a time when Christians practice self-discipline, and some may fast on Fridays throughout the season.

No matter what your religion, many of us enjoy fish and good seafood, which puts us in the top 10 for best seafood restaurants in Lansing.

One of my “Mad Dog” colleagues from our sister station “The Game 730am” highly recommends the Eastside Fish Fry. I make him treat me the week of the nest, lol.

I love good seafood and especially love the Alaskan King Crab Leg, and loved the pork fish when I lived in Tampa / St Pete. Also, many restaurants in Florida had fresh fish spreads that we spread on crackers. I was raised Catholic in Chicago and every Friday during Lent Mom would get some fresh smelt from Lake Michigan and fry them. I still remember that good smell all over the house.

According to foodnetwork.com, eating seafood has many health benefits.
