Anyone who lives in Florida probably already knows what a fishing lodge is. But for those who are not familiar, today a fishing camp is usually a place where you can order loads of fresh and fried seafood for a very satisfying meal. Back then, fishing camps were seen as places where people would hang out and fish all day, telling about their best catches, then cooking, cleaning and eating all around a campsite. We have a restaurant in Jacksonville that has deep roots in fish lodges, dating back to the 1940s. Locals and tourists alike appreciate the historic fishing lodge, Singleton’s Seafood Shack in Florida.
